ABOUT:
Sarah Kirshen has been working as a holistic coach and tutor since 2013. She specializes in working with adolescents and adults who are looking to grow as students and writers. Sarah partners with clients to support them in developing the strategies, structures, and awareness needed to reach their academic, professional, and personal goals. She has an open-minded approach that draws upon her warmth, intuition, intellectual creativity, and extensive background in academic research, writing and education.
Sarah graduated from the Spence School in Manhattan, before receiving a B.A. from Wesleyan University. She earned a master’s in public health from Columbia University, where she went on to pursue a Ph.D. in American history. While at Columbia, Sarah spent five years teaching undergraduate courses in history and political science, and working one-on-one with students at the university’s writing center. She also holds certifications in herbal medicine from the Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Herbalism and Heartstone Herbal School. She is currently completing a certification in educational therapy.
